Itinerary

Day 1ARUSHA

Meet at the arrival point and transfer to your lodge for a pre-safari briefing.
OLERAI LODGE (Dinner)

Day 2ARUSHA - TARANGIRE

We transfer into Tarangire for a morning game drive and lunch, a classic safari picnic, and enjoy our final glimpse of the great wilds of Northern Tanzania. Tarangire is famed for its massive elephant herds, a true sense of wilderness, and a backdrop of baobabs. Continue to tented camp just outside the park overnight.
TARANGIRE SAFARI LODGE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3TARANGIRE - LAKE MANYARA - NGORONGORO

After breakfast, transfer to Esilalei Maasai Village to explore the area and our school project. Continue onto Lake Manyara for game driving and lunch, a classic safari picnic. Lake Manyara offers an insight into the Great Rift Valley system and the adaptation of many herd animals and magnificent birdlife. In the late afternoon, we zig-zag our way up the Rift Valley Escarpment and onto the crater highlands for overnight.
OLDEAN LODGE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4NGORONGORO

Short drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is a collapsed volcano – an incredible natural Amphitheatre, 25 km across and teeming with all of the African big game. Early morning descent into the crater for spectacular scenery and game viewing in what has been described as the eighth wonder of the world. Return to the Cape Dutch-style lodge for overnight. It is quite common for buffalo and even elephants to be grazing right outside the lodge.
OLDEAN LODGE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5NGORONGORO - SERENGETI

We depart after breakfast to the endless plains of the Serengeti, via exploration of the Ndutu plains area. Upon entering the Serengeti, we can game drive to our special camp area. The camp option is recommended to suit the season of travel CANOPY SERONERA CAMP or CANOPY MARA CAMP., season depending (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

Day 6SERENGETI

We take part in an early morning game drive before returning for lunch and resting. In the afternoon, we set off to see the nocturnal animals beginning their night’s work. It is also a perfect location to partake in the breathtaking Serengeti Balloon Safari (optional). CANOPY SERONERA CAMP or CANOPY MARA CAMP, season depending (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 7SERENGETI

Game driving and exploration in this unique area of the Serengeti—endless plains, riverine, and stunning resident wildlife all year round. It is in the heart of the Serengeti eco-system where you can truly understand why the Serengeti is named after the Maasai word ‘Siringit’ which means endless plains.

Day 8SERENGETI - ARUSHA - BEYOND

Early morning game driving to central Serengeti for a charter flight back to Arusha and your departure point or lodge (Breakfast, lunch)
