Climate and Weather

Uganda boasts a pleasant year-round climate, perfect for enjoying its diverse landscapes. It experiences a tropical climate with two distinct seasons: the wet and dry seasons. The wet season, lasting from March to May and September to November, brings afternoon rain showers, often refreshing and short-lived. This is a fantastic time for wildlife viewing as vegetation flourishes and animals gather around water sources. Temperatures remain comfortable throughout the year, averaging in the mid-20s Celsius (upper 70s Fahrenheit).

The dry season, stretching from December to February and June to August, offers sunshine-filled days with clear skies. This is ideal for gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, as the trails are drier and easier to navigate. However, some areas can experience occasional dust storms during this period, so packing a light scarf or bandana might be helpful.
